You start at the Alarms View. To add an alarm, you tap on the plus (+) sign at the top-right corner. A new alarm will appear on the list.
Before the new alarm has been set, it displays a place marker for the time ([Time]) and a place marker for the song it will play when the alarm goes off ([Song]).
When you tap on the alarm in the list, you are taken to the Alarm View where you can set the alarm.
In the Alarm View you can select the time that the alarm is to go off and the music it will play. Click
the button that says
Pick Time to select the time the alarm is to go off. Tap the button that says
Pick Song to select the song to play when the alarm goes off. If you don't have any music in the music
library on your phone you will not be able to set the alarm.
The Time View allows you to select the time the alarm will go off. It will allow you to set a time that has already passed, and when you click Save on the Alarm View you will be taken to the Alarms View and the alarm will immediately go off.
The Music View allows you to look through the entire music library on your iPhone. It will only allow you to pick only one song. It will allow you to choose any audio file in your music library.
After you have selcted the time and the music for your alarm, you tap on Save at the top-right hand corner of the Alarm View and you will be taken to the Alarms View again. The alarm you have just set will be at the very top of the list and it will reflect your selection of time and music.
